Foetorem

Not that you asked, but Foetorem is latin for "stench (of decay)", and that kind of sets the scene for this class act. This Danish quartet from Kolding plays that old school doomy death metal, a bit reminiscent of early Illdisposed, that's both brutal and sludgy, yet with a certain hint of melody hidden below all those vile rotten layers of filth. Despite the mold and reek, the songs are surprisingly fresh, as Foetorem released their debut, the sensitively named Incongruous Forms of Evergrowing Rot, just March this year.
