Arthur Brown

Open-air stage

We’re used to all kinds of antics and theatrics from metal bands nowadays, but little do we often realize where that all started. Arthur Brown, whose career spans from 1965 and until today, is widely regarded as having contributed massively to this trend; already in the late sixties, Brown brandished his flaming helmet as he sent his band, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, directly into the very number one position on the UK Singles Chart with his single “Fire”. This single garnered him his nickname, “The God of Hellfire”. The list of metal and progressive rock bands that claim inspiration from Brown is endless, and having him join us at Metal Magic is something that brings us monumental pride.
