Tank stands as one of its most battle-hardened veterans of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Formed in 1980 in London, these metal warriors took cues from Motörhead while injecting their own street-level aggression into the mix, creating that special dirty yet infectious Tank sound. Tank has had a rough history, first being in hiatus between 1989 and 1997 and then splintered into two, well, Tanks in 2007. Today, though, there’s only one Tank and albums like “War Nation” and “Valley of Tears” make it crystal clear that they are at least as relevant today as they ever were in the eighties.
